The Hazard
CLASS 1 WARNING: ENTRAPMENT
Infant Innovations is recalling BabyBond Retractable Safety Gates. A child’s body can fit between the gate and the floor. This can trap the child. This poses a risk of serious injury or death.
About 280 units are affected.
Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown
The BabyBond Retractable Safety Gates fail to meet safety standards. The space between the bottom of the gate and the floor is too large. This gap allows a child’s torso to slip through. Once through, the child can become trapped. This creates a dangerous situation.
