The Hazard
CLASS 1 WARNING: DROWNING
CheerKid baby bath seats are being recalled. The seats are unstable and can tip over. This can cause serious injury or death to a child. Stop using the bath seat immediately.
About 590 bath seats are affected. No injuries have been reported.
Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown
The CheerKid baby bath seats do not meet safety standards. They can easily tip over while a baby is using them. This is because the base is not stable enough. If the seat tips, the baby could fall into the water. This creates a serious risk of drowning. Babies can drown very quickly and quietly.
