The problem with these chess games is the small, powerful magnets used as chess pieces. These magnets are not properly secured and can easily come loose. Young children are likely to put things in their mouths, and these magnets are small enough to be swallowed.
When a child swallows more than one of these magnets, or a magnet and another metal object, the magnets can attract each other inside the body. This can cause the intestines to twist, become blocked, or even develop holes. These injuries can be very serious and require surgery. In some cases, they can even lead to death.
