The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: HEAD INJURY

Todson is recalling Concord bicycle helmets. These helmets do not meet safety standards. They may not protect your head in a crash. This puts you at risk of serious injury or death.

About 40,245 helmets are affected.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The recalled bike helmets fail to meet mandatory safety requirements. Specifically, the helmet’s retention system may not work correctly. This system keeps the helmet securely on your head during a crash. Also, the helmet might not stay in the right position to protect your head.

If the helmet shifts or comes off during an accident, it cannot do its job. This means your head is more likely to get injured. The helmet’s failure to meet these standards poses a significant risk to riders.
