URGENT RECALL: Criblike Mattresses

The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: ENTRAPMENT AND SUFFOCATION

Criblike is recalling aftermarket play yard and mini-crib mattresses. These mattresses don’t fit properly in some play yards and cribs. This can create a dangerous gap where a baby can get trapped and suffocate.

About 117,900 units are affected.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The recalled mattresses fail to meet federal safety standards for crib mattresses. Specifically, they don’t fit snugly within the play yards and mini-cribs they’re intended for. This creates a gap between the mattress and the side of the crib or play yard. Babies can roll into this gap and become trapped.
