The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: ENTRAPMENT AND SUFFOCATION

Yixing Trading is recalling KEAWIS crib mattresses. These mattresses might not fit correctly in all cribs. This can leave dangerous gaps. Babies can get trapped and suffocate in these gaps.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The KEAWIS crib mattress recall is happening because the mattresses don’t meet safety rules. The mattresses may be too small for some cribs. This creates spaces between the mattress and the crib sides. Babies can roll into these spaces. If a baby’s face gets stuck against the side, they can’t breathe. This is a suffocation hazard.
