Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown
The AirClub convertible bassinet is designed to attach to an adult bed, functioning as a bedside sleeper. However, the way the bassinet attaches creates a dangerous gap between the bassinet and the adult bed. This gap violates safety standards for bedside sleepers.
If a baby rolls or moves towards the edge of the bassinet near the adult bed, they could fall into this gap. This could lead to the baby becoming trapped, suffocating, or falling out of the bassinet entirely. The fall could cause serious injuries, and the entrapment could be fatal.
