Airova received 37 reports of the air purifiers overheating, including one report of fire. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown
The Aroeve air purifiers have a problem that causes them to get too hot. This overheating can happen because of a flaw in the way the air purifier was made. When the air purifier overheats, it can start a fire.
The problem seems to be with certain models made before July 2025. These models have a serial number that starts with “BN”. If you own one of these air purifiers, it’s important to stop using it right away to prevent a fire or burn.
