Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown
The recalled hydromassage rotary jets have six fins. These jets are designed to create a swirling water massage effect. However, the design can create a strong suction force in the water. This suction can pull hair towards the jet. If a person’s hair gets caught, they may become trapped underwater.
The problem is that the force of the water pulling hair into the jet is stronger than expected. This makes it difficult for a person to free themselves. This poses a serious risk of entanglement and potential drowning, especially for children or individuals with long hair. The company is providing free replacements to fix this issue.
