URGENT RECALL: CreateOn Crayola pip-Cubes

The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: INGESTION

CreateOn is recalling Crayola-branded pip-Cubes. These are magnetic building cubes. The magnets inside the cubes can come loose. If swallowed, these magnets can cause serious injury or death.

About 9,400 units are affected.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The CreateOn Crayola pip-Cubes are being recalled because the small magnets inside the cubes can detach. This can happen during normal use or if the cubes are damaged. These magnets are very small and can be easily swallowed by children.

If a child swallows more than one magnet, the magnets can attract to each other inside the body. This can cause serious internal injuries, such as holes in the stomach or intestines, blockages, twisting, and infection. These injuries require immediate medical attention and can be fatal.
