URGENT RECALL: GLMZZ Fidget Magnet Ball Toy Sets

The Hazard

INGESTION

GLMZZ is recalling their Fidget Magnet Ball Toy Sets because they pose a serious ingestion hazard to children. These toys contain small, powerful magnets that, if swallowed, can attract each other inside the body. This can cause severe internal damage, including perforations, twisting, and blockage of the intestines, potentially leading to blood poisoning or even death.

About 9,350 units were sold. No injuries have been reported.

Technical Breakdown

The recalled magnet ball toys don’t meet the mandatory safety standards for toys. They contain high-powered magnets that are small enough to be swallowed by children. If a child swallows more than one of these magnets, the magnets can attract each other inside the body. This attraction can cause the intestinal walls to pinch together. This pinching can lead to holes (perforations) in the intestines, twisting of the intestines (volvulus), or a blockage that prevents food from moving through the digestive system. These are all very serious medical conditions that require immediate surgery.

Even if a child doesn’t swallow multiple magnets at once, swallowing a magnet along with other metal objects can create the same dangerous situation. The powerful magnetic force can still cause internal damage and potentially lead to life-threatening complications. These toys were sold online between February 2025 and October 2025, and it’s crucial to remove them from children’s reach immediately.
