URGENT RECALL: Goregent Infant Walkers

The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: FALL HAZARD

Goregent is recalling infant walkers. These walkers don’t meet safety rules. They can fit through doorways and don’t stop at steps. This can cause serious injury or death to your baby.

About 90 units affected.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The infant walkers fail to meet mandatory safety standards. These standards are in place to protect babies from falls. The walkers are too wide and can fit through a standard doorway. This means a baby could roll into another room without supervision.

Also, the walkers don’t have a reliable braking system to stop at the edge of a step. If a baby rolls towards a staircase or ledge, the walker won’t stop them. This can lead to a serious fall and potential head injury. These defects make the walker unsafe for infants.
