The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: ENTRAPMENT AND FALL HAZARDS

Joyful Journeys baby loungers are being recalled. The loungers do not meet safety standards for infant sleep products. Babies can roll off or get trapped in the lounger, which can cause serious injury or death.

About 9,300 units affected. None reported injuries.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

These baby loungers are not safe for infants. They don’t meet the required safety rules for infant sleep products. This means a baby could roll out of the lounger and fall. Also, a baby could get stuck or trapped inside the lounger. This creates a risk of suffocation or other serious harm.

The problem is that the lounger’s design doesn’t keep babies safe. It doesn’t have the right features to prevent rolling or entrapment. Because of these dangers, the loungers are being recalled to protect babies from harm. Parents and caregivers should stop using them right away.
