URGENT RECALL: YCXXKJ Baby Bath Seats

The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: DROWNING HAZARD

YCXXKJ baby bath seats are being recalled. The seats are unstable and can tip over. This poses a serious risk of injury or death to children from drowning. The bath seats do not meet safety standards.

About 8,960 units are affected. No injuries have been reported.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

If the seat tips over, the baby could fall into the water. Because infants lack the motor skills to right themselves, they are at risk of drowning. The detachable arms, meant to restrain the baby, may also fail or detach during a fall, further increasing the risk. This recall is due to the bath seat’s failure to provide a safe bathing environment for infants.
