URGENT RECALL: Outdoor Master Children’s and Youth Helmets

Official Source: View Official Recall Notice | Published: April 07, 2026

The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: HEAD INJURY

Outdoor Master is recalling children’s and youth helmets. These helmets do not meet safety standards. This means they might not protect a child’s head in a crash. This could lead to serious injury or death.

About 24,300 units are affected.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The helmets are being recalled because they don’t meet the required safety standards for bicycle helmets. These standards are in place to make sure helmets can absorb impact and protect the head during a fall or accident. When a helmet doesn’t meet these standards, it means the materials or design are not sufficient to provide adequate protection.

In a crash, a helmet that doesn’t meet safety standards could crack or break too easily. It might not absorb enough of the impact force, which means more of the force is transferred to the child’s head. This can result in serious head injuries, even if the impact seems minor.
