URGENT RECALL: Cosyland Children’s Tower Stools

The Hazard

ENTRAPMENT AND FALL HAZARDS

Cosyland is recalling their children’s tower stools because they can collapse or tip over, which could cause serious injury or death. A child’s body can also get stuck in the openings, leading to entrapment. Stop using these stools immediately!

Cosyland has received 25 reports of the stools being unstable and causing falls. Eight children were injured, with injuries ranging from scrapes and bruises to a fractured arm. 125,200 units are affected.

Technical Breakdown

The Cosyland children’s tower stools are not safe. They can tip over or even collapse while a child is using them. The openings in the front and back of the stool are also big enough for a child’s torso to fit through. This creates a dangerous situation where a child could get trapped and seriously injured if the stool tips or collapses. The risk is serious, and could lead to broken bones or even death.
