URGENT RECALL: Honda Off-Road Motorcycles (2025-2026)

The Hazard

CRASH HAZARD

Honda is recalling certain off-road motorcycles because the handlebar clamp may not hold the handlebars tight enough. This can cause the handlebars to suddenly rotate while you’re riding, which could lead to a crash, serious injury, or even death. Stop using these motorcycles immediately and get them fixed.

1 crash reported. Approximately 12,600 units in the US and 6 in Canada are affected.

Technical Breakdown

The problem lies in the handlebar clamp design. Under certain conditions, the clamp might not provide enough friction to keep the handlebars from moving. This could happen during normal use, especially if the motorcycle experiences bumps or impacts. If the handlebars rotate unexpectedly, the rider could lose control of the motorcycle.

American Honda Motor has received one report of a crash related to this issue, though no injuries have been reported so far. Honda is urging all owners of the affected models to stop riding the motorcycles until the problem is fixed at an authorized dealer.
