Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The Mamisan Pain Relieving Topical Ointment contains lidocaine. Products with lidocaine must have child-resistant packaging. This is to prevent accidental poisoning in children, as lidocaine can be very dangerous if swallowed. The packaging on the recalled ointment does not meet these safety standards.
