The Segmart 4-drawer dressers are unstable and can easily tip over, especially if drawers are open or if a child climbs on them. This can lead to the dresser falling on someone, causing serious injuries like head trauma, broken bones, or even death. Young children are especially vulnerable to entrapment under a fallen dresser.

The dressers do not meet the mandatory safety standards for clothing storage units, meaning they weren’t designed to be stable enough to prevent tip-overs. The company has not received any reports of injuries but is initiating this recall out of concern for consumer safety. The lack of anchoring also compounds the risk making the furniture unstable.
