The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: FIRE AND BURN HAZARDS

FUNTOK is recalling their 24V 2-Seater Ride-On Trucks. The truck’s circuit board can overheat and catch fire. This poses a serious fire and burn risk to children.

Shenzhen Luobei Trading Co. has received 11 reports of the ride-on trucks catching fire, sparking, burning, melting, overheating and smoking. No injuries have been reported.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The FUNTOK ride-on trucks have a problem with their circuit boards. These boards can get too hot during normal use. When the circuit board overheats, it can spark, smoke, melt, or even catch fire. This creates a dangerous situation for children riding in the truck.

The overheating issue is due to a flaw in the design or manufacturing of the circuit board. It’s possible that the board can’t handle the electrical current needed to power the truck. This can cause the components to overheat and fail. The company is working to fix this problem and prevent future incidents.
