The Hazard

CLASS 1 WARNING: BURN HAZARD

Wagner Spray Tech is recalling its 900 Series Power Steamers. The hose can get too hot. The nozzle/gun can spray hot water. This poses a burn hazard to users.

Wagner has received at least 156 incident reports. Over 50 reported burn injuries to consumers’ arms, hands, feet, and face, many of which resulted in first- or second-degree burns.

Why This Happens: Technical Breakdown

The Wagner 900 Series Power Steamers are being recalled because they can malfunction during use. The steam hose can overheat, becoming dangerously hot to the touch. Additionally, the nozzle or gun component may unexpectedly expel hot water. This hot water can spray onto the user.

These malfunctions can lead to serious burn injuries. The unexpected release of hot steam or water creates a significant risk for consumers. Wagner has received numerous reports of incidents involving these issues, prompting the recall to prevent further injuries.
