The Arch Studio tea kettles are being recalled due to a faulty handle design. When the kettle is heated, the adhesive or connection point of the handle can weaken, causing it to detach unexpectedly. This sudden detachment can lead to spills of boiling water, posing a significant burn risk to the user and anyone nearby.

The engineering failure lies in the handle’s inability to withstand the heat and stress of regular use. The materials used or the method of attachment were not sufficient to maintain a secure connection over time, especially when exposed to high temperatures. This defect presents a serious safety hazard, requiring immediate action to prevent potential injuries.

Affected Products

• Arch Studio tea kettles with “HJ10525” etched on the underside. These are stainless-steel kettles with a black handle and a 1.9-quart capacity. They measure about 10.7 inches long, 7.59 inches wide, and 8.62 inches high.
