Over 115 reports of weight plates dislodging; at least 6 injuries reported.
Technical Breakdown
The FitRx SmartBell adjustable dumbbells have a problem with how the weight plates are locked onto the handle. During use, the locking mechanism can fail, causing the weight plates to detach unexpectedly. This sudden release of weight can lead to the dumbbell becoming unbalanced and falling, potentially striking the user or others in the vicinity.
This recall affects specific model and serial numbers of the FitRx SmartBell dumbbells. Tzumi Electronics has received over 115 reports of weight plates coming loose during use. These incidents have resulted in at least six injuries, including broken toes, bruises, cuts, and other impact-related injuries.

- DOCUMENT: Check the model number (8361) and serial number on the side of the storage tray. Make sure your dumbbell falls within the recalled serial number ranges: KK23288361 through KK23388361 and KK207608361 through KK21347836.
